#25 - The Unbearable Lightness of Being...Aware

"Sometimes you must step out of the light to be seen."

~ Saturday, February 24, 2007. 8:16 am
(Inspired by to the passing of Dennis Johnson,
Boston Celtic Basketball Player)

Gabbing on:
Sometimes you must do the unexpected to find a new path. The path of expectation is always well lit with the intentions and aspirations of those who love you and care for you. To stray from this path requires you to conquer your fear of taking the time to explore and acknowledge yourself without conscious and unconscious judgment.

Do you have enough awareness of yourself to remain authentic when the inevitably criticism and doubt comes from those who care for you, as you begin to travel on a new path beyond their expectations and yours?

* The burden of self is the weight of a million feathers lifted one at a time, one moment at a time.

"All for one and one for all?
Not really.

All is never for one in a community,
but
one is for all.
To fit into the community the strong, the revolutionary and the individual must offers themselves as a sacrificial gift to the will of the mass."

Gabbing on:
"The individual has given more to the community than the community can ever hope to repay. The community can offer safety and security but at the great cost of your uniqueness and the things that make you individual.

Every step taken outside of your routine and comfort zone is a step taken into a deeper and more meaningful life.

"Staying with what you know strengthens your perspective yet does not necessarily broaden it. A routine and comfort zone can hold you together but can also hold you down wih fear and non-daring. Our natural ability to adapt and grow is a strength that is not supported by a static routine and surroundings that supports what we like best about ourselves.

Routines must be developed but more importantly must evolve and change. Comfort zones are great if used as a launching pad from which you can reach for greater personal fulfillment.

A routine and a place of comfort provides us with some sense of control in life but is that enough to meet our needs for fulfillment and meaning?"
